Initiation of Bal Vikas @ Badshahpur

In the year 2011, the story of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Centre in Village Badshahpur unfolded as two devoted Bal Vikas Gurus, Smt Rita Moudgil and Sri Janak Kataria, embarked on this divine endeavour of initiating Bal Vikas classes. The classes were initially held at the residence of Sri Janak Kataria.

From 2011 to 2013, the Bal Vikas classes continued regularly and the number of students steadily increased and many ladies also began attending the classes. Sensing the growing enthusiasm for Bal Vikas, the Bal Vikas Gurus recognised the need for a larger space to continue the learning and seva activities.

In 2013, the Bal Vikas classes were moved to an open Dharamshala where they continued until 2016. The Dharamshala became a central hub for the residents of the village for spiritual learning, community service and it played a pivotal role in nurturing the values of love, service and devotion.

In the tender hearts of children, there is much potentiality of devotion and attachment to higher ideals and objectives, this can be developed and cultivated. Recognise the great potential of the child; adopt such methods as the child himself might suggest or indicate. Bal Vikas classes @ Arya Samaj Mandir, Badshahpur

In 2016, the Bal Vikas Classes were shifted from Dharamshala to Arya Samaj Mandir, Badshahpur where they continued until 2021. By this time, the number of students had increased to 35.

In 2021, 11 students comprising 9 girls and 2 boys earned the prestigious Diploma Certificate for completing Bal Vikas Education. This was a moment of tremendous gratitude for the Bal Vikas Gurus and all Seva Dals who had been a part of their Bal Vikas endeavour in the village.

Undoubtedly, the 11 children were chosen and guided by Bhagawan Himself. Through His infinite grace and love, Swami gave an opportunity to many of His devotees to be a part of this inspirational Bal Vikas journey of these blessed children.

Bal Vikas for Ladies @ Little Moon School, Badshahpur

In 2021, the Gurus made a pivotal decision to collaborate with Little Moon School, Badshahpur with ample space to accommodate Bal Vikas classes and sessions for ladies. These classes continued at this location until 2023, when the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Centre was inaugurated at Badshahpur.

In 2023, the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Centre in Badshahpur was inaugurated, thereby marking a significant step in the region's spiritual and educational development. As part of its initiatives, Bal Vikas classes were launched here. Currently, there are 60 children enrolled in Groups 1 and 2, where they actively participate in values-based education and spiritual learning.

Additionally, Group 4 classes have continued with around 10 children attending weekly sessions.

Amrit Kalash Seva

In 2015, Amrit Kalash Seva was introduced in Badshahpur with the aim of serving the local community residents. Initially, the seva involved distributing dry rations to 5 to 7 women on a monthly basis. With Bhagawan’s abundant blessings, this noble initiative has grown significantly, and today, it supports 60 women each month.

The country can be lifted to its pristine greatness only through mastering the Atma-Vidya, the science of Realisation of the Reality. If the nation must have lasting prosperity and peace, women have to be trained through an educational system which emphasises moral conduct, moral qualities.

On the 15th of every month, a generous distribution is made, providing essential dry rations such as atta (flour), dal (lentils), rice, sugar, cooking oil, and toiletries like bathing soaps and washing soaps. For many women, this initiative has been transformative as they have access to basic necessities.

Prasanthi Seva

In the year 2022, about 30 Seva sadhaks attended the Prasanthi seva. In the year 2023, this number went up to 52 and in August 2024, the number surpassed 60.

For the seva sadhaks from Badshahpur, Prasanthi seva offers a much needed experience that instantly reinvigorates their life’s purpose, driving them to dedicate themselves to seva in their own village with greater enthusiasm and higher awareness, while striving towards making it their ‘Prasanthi’.

The centre also offers free education to economically weaker sections of society, providing schooling from classes 1 to 10. This initiative ensures that children from underprivileged backgrounds have access to quality education, supporting their personal growth and empowering them for a brighter future.

Furthermore, the centre organises a variety of sports and games activities, promoting physical fitness and team-building skills among the children.

Around 13 years since Sai activities first began in Badshahpur, the village is now a spiritual hub for those who live there and surrounding places too. When beautiful stories and divine experiences are shared by people, we experience Bhagawan’s boundless love and grace, which fills us with gratitude for it is His grace that makes it possible for us to offer seva.

Our Seva initiatives and impactful outcomes show that Bhagawan is the Master, with His Divine Masterplan. We are all but instruments that He has chosen in this mission of spreading His divine love to all places.
