OUTREACH  ACTIVITY

With Swami’s immense Grace and Blessings, SSSSO Delhi-NCR has launched a School outreach initiative for spreading His divine messages across the private and government school children in Delhi-NCR.

A two-fold strategy was formulated for this initiative:

  1. Outreach through conduct of EHV programs in MCD Schools

  2. Inviting participation of Schools in competitions/programmes organised at SSSIC, New Delhi.

Main Highlights:

  1. Outreach through conduct of EHV programs in MCD Schools

●    We approached the Directorate of Education, MCD  for permission to conduct Education in Human Values/ Bal Vikas programs in Schools.

●    A program was proposed to the Directorate for conducting EHV Programs under  SSS Vidya Jyoti Program in  Govt. Schools  comprising Bal Vikas/Yoga Classes, Morning Assembly,  Competitions, Celebrating  Festivals, Teachers’ Training Programs, etc., and permission was granted to conduct our programs in 100 primary schools under them.

 

●    District wise teams visited these schools for understanding the ground situations and concerns facing the schools.

●    Copies of the Annual Report of SSSSO Delhi-NCR were given to the Schools so they could understand the Organisation’s objectives. 28 Schools have been covered across Delhi-NCR in the first phase of the project and Bal Vikas classes have been started in a few schools.

●    Principals of these Schools are wholeheartedly supporting our Teams for conducting the EHV programs.

●    Small teams of 2-4  persons are being identified for mapping with these schools, comprising of BV Gurus, Youth, Retired Devotees, Active Ladies & Gents Seva Dals.

●    SSSSO will support these schools with RO, separate Toilets for boys and girls, furniture, computers etc., as required.

  1. Outreach through competitions

●    SSSSO Delhi-NCR has planned various competitions for children from Private and Govt. Schools at our premises- SSSIC Lodhi Road New Delhi.

●    3 such competitions have already been conducted on Indian Culture & Spirituality, including

⮚  Painting & Notice Board Decoration Contest

Topics: Mother, the embodiment of Divine; Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

Approx. 80+ students participated from 12 Schools

⮚  Public Speaking Contest (English and Hindi)

Topics: Ramayana- the timeless wisdom, Manav Seva hi Madhav Seva,  Lessons from the Character of Shri Hanuman, Building Individual Character to shape  Nation’s Destiny.

Approx 100 students participated from 16 Schools

⮚  Music Competition- Voice of SAI (Sadhana, Aradhana, Ibadat)

Theme: Devotional and patriotic songs

Approx. 70+ students participated from 26 Schools 

⮚  Paint the Walls with the message of 5 Human Values-

More than 100 people painted walls during the Silver Jubilee celebrations of SSSIC. 

Upcoming programs include:

⮚  Best out of Waste Contest

⮚  Nukkad Natak Competition

⮚  Teachers’ Training on EHV Courses

⮚  Christmas Carnival.

●    A well designed structure is adopted for conducting these programs that includes sending invitations for participations, online screenings/ auditions, etc.

●    All participants are invited to SSSIC for the final competition along with Teachers irrespective of having been selected or not in the final contest. Certificates of participation are given to all participants.

●    Separate felicitation ceremony is conducted for the students conferred with awards of excellence, providing for another chance to invite them at SSSIC with their Parents and Teachers.

●    All events are planned  to facilitate the best of the experience to all , with special performances by BV children for Veda chanting/ Bhajans, Group activities, Motivational talks on importance of Bal Vikas etc.
